Global Inclusion

Consultancy and Learning Solutions

Business strategy

At Global Consult Strategy we operate from a few guiding principles

In resolving challenges, building solutions, and looking at the future, we involve all stakeholders, integrating everyone’s voice in the way forward.

We apply human-centered design, as answers are within the people involved in the situation. This can go beyond mere process consulting and we bring in content experts as one of many data points.

Managing diversity that leads to equity is our core strength, going beyond mere artifacts, diving deep into learned and shared values, and addressing personal and systemic biases.

We work in three areas

Global Inclusion and Culture

We’ll develop your global skills as well as your competencies on how to deal with difference, especially when difference is ‘tough’ at the moment. We’ll ‘untough’ it.

Consulting and Learning Solutions

Organizational Development: Let us be your team or organization’s psychologist. Our process starts at your ‘something’s up’ moment. Then we’ll drive the process of unearthing what’s going on and joint action planning that leads to resolution.

Learning Solutions: Together with you, we will develop content and we will produce it, follow the principles of product development.

Business Strategy

We’ll look at the future of your team or organization, together with a representative selection of all your stakeholders, ensuring everyone’s voice is included.

What People Are Saying

The Tiger Brands Foundation brought Bert on board to support the preparation and running of a capacity building conference for 100 school principals. The process involved people-centred design, with a volunteer group of a dozen principals and staff organizing the conference. Bert brought in a clear and efficient process, supporting the group with a charter (clearing out confusion about roles), final needs analysis, topic selection, methodology selection, agenda (flow) creation, training and facilitation skills, group dynamic processes and tools. His interventions turned the group into a highly motivated team that fully owned the process and content of the conference. We will be able to further use many of the tools and structure he provided. During this process, he kept his eye on the final deliverables, advised us where necessary, helped turn an existing strategic theme into an accessible concept, and excelled at all levels. Bert has a service mindset that we appreciated and often provided additional support not strictly in his mandate. It was a pleasure working with him!
— Karl Muller, Operations Manager at the Tiger Brands Foundation
I have been working with Bert for a number of years, during my service at AFS Intercultural Programs, as President and CEO. I have always greatly appreciated Bert's leadership skills, determination in achieving aggressive goals, coherence in sharing social and human values both in his professional and personal life. Bert is a solar person, smiling even when the task is tough, always showing positive attitude towards the future. I appointed him as General Manager of a new project, named Sentio, which he successfully developed into a new subsidiary of AFS International, where he served company goals with great creativity, developing new products and new partnership relationships with business entities and organisations. Bert is undoubtedly a champion in intercultural skills, competencies and values.
— Vincenzo Morlini, former CEO AFS Intercultural Programs
I have known Bert for more than 15 years and watched him move from a successful Program Director of an AFS partner organization (in Belgium) to a sought-after internal organizational development consultant working across the globe. More recently I have admired the work Bert has done as a senior manager in the AFS International Network, the leader of a new business cell and the creator of numerous educational products. Bert is impressive for his ability to both grasp the current realities of a situation (regardless of how complex and multi-faceted) and to envision what is possible in the future. But what really sets him apart is his talent for innovating along the way, creating new approaches to reach the vision, all while moving people there along with him. A key aspect to Bert's leadership and organizational development success is his global competence. He has studied intercultural relations from the academic side but also has tremendous experience crossing cultures and adapting his working style and approaches to different individuals, organizations, and countries. A true interculturalist, Bert understands the dimensions operating beneath the surface and can create meaning and build trust among a variety of stakeholders, even in the most complex situations. Whether as a facilitator, consultant or project leader, Bert can be counted on to bring sharp thinking, excellent organization and creative approaches to any challenge. I would jump at the chance to work with Bert again in the future.
